we are viral, but are we advertizing?
"some nerd funny shit" as somebody described our movie. Thanx! In less than 48 hours we have send our nerdy movie to more than 6000 wievers. But are we advertizing something? What´s the idea? What´s the point? Well, we are viral, that´s the point.
Our movie could advertize this:
Fazer Rågform (bread)
Heinz Chili Sauce
French Mustard
Dutch Cucumber
Dole Pineapple
Chiquita Bananas (check this link)
Global knifes
and of course Apple, Macintosh or the iLife package
But it´s not
Jon that shot the film is an excellent webdesigner, and I work as a project manager and consultant in organzational development. There are a lot of work to be done. We just want to understand the mechanisms of the social web. Internet is a revolution for democracy, education, development and creativity. Kevin Kelly made a intersting talk at the TED conference in 2007. "Kevin Kelly on the next 5000 days of the internet". He starts summing up the first 5000 days of the web and expand his thoughts about the future. Inspiring!
Just think for a moment, when everybody can have an iPhone 4G in their hand. How will that world look like?

Amazing!
We are very happy for all the response from all around the world. Norway, Belgium, India(?), USA and a lots of comments from Sweden. In just 24 hours we have 4403 views. But we haven´t seen any pictures of another iSandwich yet. Be creative!

No food was wasted!
We’ve seen that lots of people are linking to the movie – Thank you guys!
This day we would like to clarify one thing and kind of make a statement:
No food was wasted!
Just like the nature-loving-people at Apple, we to made sure not to let anything go to waste.
Luckily, food, just like glass and aluminum, is very much recyclable. Now don’t go figure you can eat glass now, the analogy does not work the other way around.
We made grate effort to buy ecological, FairTrade and locally produced ingredients, still: the Pinapple is the black sheep among fruits…
After “the wrap” we made two large iSallads using the leftovers. We just might release the “Behind the scenes” to show you.
Don´t play with the food, enjoy it!

You give me fever
Today Apple introduced the new iPad. Nice. We first thought we could make the movie as an iPlate. But our iSandwich is just enough. In fact, the swedish hypernerdic mac.feber.se mentioned our iSandwich as the "ultimate sandwich for the event". In just two hours we got 320 viewers. Thanks Roger.
So how did we do it?
Well, Jakob has left the office and will share the ingredients with you tomorrow but here's the short version.
To make your own iSandwich video you will do just fine with:
- Your regular HD camcorder
- iMovie
- MacBook
- A lot of fruits
- Some extra time
- One piece of bread
- A very sharp knife
To try out the "One more thing" get a trial version of Adobe After Effects, and visit http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/. We used the basic lessons on keying and tracking to figure out how to do this.
